HOW TO DO A BOOK REPORT FOR MR. RYAN

Don't wait till the last minute to complete your report...do it right the first time!

1.) While reading your book, fill out an organizer or a piece of paper, after every chapter or every 15-20 pages. Note the setting, characters, conflict, plot, theme, and possible resolutions...just jot down small notes so that you will remember.

2.) After reading the book, type the following information (type the questions AND answer, leave a space between questions.)(Use complete sentences for all.)

3.) Expect your report to be at least 3 full pages.

USE MICROSOFT WORD ONLY!!!!!!  Do not use Notepad/Wordpad!

F. Plot...events of the story in the order in which they occur...this section must be written in numbered listed form(1,2,3,4 etc.).  Make sure you use complete sentences.  I should be able to understand what happened in the WHOLE book from reading this section.  (expect to have have 20-30 items listed...I must understand what happened!)
G. Resolution...How did the characters resolve their conflict...details...details...details! (at least 2 paragraphs)

A. Do you agree with the resolution? Why? (What was the resolution? do you agree? and Why do you/don't you agree?...Details)
